Sharing the lobby of the new main library with Snøhetta, the two theatres of Spirit Square, the McGlohon and the Duke Energy Theatres, require a highly detailed and complex model to determine both the existing conditions and the relationship with the new library. The archaeological nature of this six month effort traversed over a century’s worth of incomplete drawing sets, photographs, news articles, and numerous field investigations to bring forth a high resolution model of what was originally a Byzantine-style church from 1907.
