Dean Crouch is an experimental designer, educator, and architect exploring the hyperdimensional machines [cyrptomachinae] that construct and attend physical and non-physical space. He operates primarily in the hypothetical and theoretical realm of design, merging the experience with the artifact, challenging the limitations of spatial discernment.
His current work concerns the collecting and documentation of cryptomachinae and their environments via bastardized bestiaries, film, and visual effects.
Receiving a Masters of Architecture from UNC Charlotte in 2017, he has held teaching positions instructing foundational design and representation courses at the same institution. Additionally, Dean practices at a regional design firm as a Project Architect.
